“Nuyten developed a contemporary recipe for black pigment. Instead of bones, she ground up discarded smartphones. Using oil and egg, she made tempera paint from this pigment. The silver parts on the black canvas are the metal from an iPhone, reminiscent of the galaxy.” Art Rotterdam
