Digital Deluge

2024, shredded, melted and non planar 3d printed electronic waste, 54 × 34 cm

Together with VanPlestik, Nuyten explores various innovative techniques in 3D printing. This endeavour led to the development of a new series of works utilising experimental non-planar techniques, enabling printing in waves. This non-traditional printing technique adds a trompe-l'œil effect, captivating the viewer's eye with the illusion of depth and movement. The waves are printed using recycled electronic waste, including computer monitors and other hardware. The deluge of the title refers both to the tsunami of digital information and to an impending flood disaster.
